Defined Engineering is now offering extended length shackles for 2005-present model year 6-lug Toyota Tacomas.They Feature smoother, quieter operation by getting rid of your inferior rubber bushings and replacing them with delrin bushings. Very robust shackle has been C.A.D. designed and uses only the best quality parts and craftsmanship available.

2005-12 Tacoma 6-lug Spring under conversion

  Defined Engineering is proud to release a Spring Under Axle  conversion kit  that utilizes the frames oem mounting locations. The system is capable of achieving up to 15” of vertical wheel travel , with 33” tires and oem bedsides

Defined Engineering developed a longtravel SUA leafpack that bolts in to reduce fab work ,downtime and money associated with conventional long travel leaf pack installations. The end result is a unbelievable ride and a massive gain in performance due mainly to the large increase in bump travel at ride height  as well as a better weight capacity than what’s currently available .

These leafpacks will be available in different stage kits, from a basic install to a pure offroad performance install.  this suspension system will meet all your performance needs  and is a perfect complement to any front bolt on long travel kit

Stage 1 SUA kit for 2005-12 Tacoma 6-lug

  Defined Engineering developed a longtravel SUA leafpack that bolts in to reduce fab work ,downtime and money associated with conventional long travel leaf pack installations. The end result is a unbelievable ride and a massive gain in performance due mainly to the large increase in bump travel at ride height as well as a better weight capacity than what’s currently available .

Our stage one kit contains everything needed to install our SUA kit to utilize the stock length shocks and achieve up to 10” of travel . This is an excellent option for the person that wants to build their rear suspension in stages. Get the kit and later down the line longer shocks and hydraulic bumpstops can be added to get the full benefits of the SUA kit.

2005-12 Bedside supports

bedside supports are designed for use when trying to clear bigger tires and more up travel , while still using the oem fenders .
trimming of the inner bedside and trimming of the fender flare is required to fit larger tires . the factory support gets in the way of the tire so a new high clearance bracket was designed to achieve maximum up travel . some drilling is required.

2005-12 Tacoma bumpstop bracket kit

Bump stop brackets are designed to bolt into existing holes in the frame and support a wide variety of bumpstop options to fine tune the bumpzone when using a SUA kit . The striker plate will adapt to a wide varity of bumpstops as well as light racing jouncestops . Existing holes in axle are tapped and utilized to bolt the Striker plate on .Kit does not come with polyurethane bumpstops

Quick-Disconnect fire extinguisher mounts

Defined Engineering is now producing high quality QD fire extinguisher mounts for standard 2.5 pound fire extinguishers. On the mounting side we offer mounting solutions for various tubing diameters, 1.250" tube, 1.5" tube, 1.750" tube and coming soon 2" tube. We also offer flat mounting solutions for those who dont have a tube to mount to.QD fire extinguisher mounts are produced with quality laser cut materials , TIG welded construction , stainless hardware and a high quality pull handle. qd mounts do not come with hose clamps.

Quick-Disconnect N2O/CO2 Tank mounts

Defined Engineering is now producing high quality QD mounts for 5 pound nitrogen and co2 tanks. Just like our QD fire extinguisher mounts, the tank mounts are offered in various tube mounting sizes as well as a flat mount. On the tank mount side of things we offer ample friction area to keep the tank where it belongs. Tank mount is designed for a rough tank size diameter of 5.250" , but will fit any round item ranging from 4.750" - 5.750". recommended 10 pound weight limit !
QD N20/CO2 tank mounts are produced with quality laser cut materials , TIG welded construction , stainless hardware and a high quality pull handle. They come furnished with large hose clamps for the tank mount side of the bracket only

Shackle Mount Cross-member 05^ tacoma

Add some strength to the rear frame of your tacoma with our shackle mount cross-member. Made from dom tube and plate steel ,the cross-member bolts on the the factory shackle bolt holes and connects with 2 easy to drill holes at the x-member thats riveted to the frame.
The shackle buckets have unwanted flexing that occurs with  even mild offroad abuse and can cause the buckets to bend outward or even bend the frame in rare instances. The shackle mount cross-member plays an integral part in keeping the rear shackles at the proper geometry for consistent performance . Along with triangulating the rear section of frame together ,it also extends the longevity of stock frame components.

Universal Quick fist mounts

Here is our twist on making a great product even better. Introducing Defined Engineering’s  stainless steel universal mounts for the original Quick Fist® mount. The mounts have been cad designed, laser cut and cnc bent out of stainless steel sheet. These finely crafted stainless mounts can be welded to just about any size of roll cage tube or mounted on any flat surface with flat head bolts. The mounts come furnished with 2 stainless nuts and bolts to attach your original quick fist mount to our stainless bracket (rubber Quick fist® mounts are not included). Now you can Safely and Reliably hold a wide variety of objects on your race truck, pre-runner, chase truck, trailer, garage, ect. It fits anywhere. Where can you use it?

Differential Skid Plate for Tacoma/FJ Cruiser

Defined Engineering is now producing high quality bolt on differential skid plates for the 2nd gen Tacoma and FJ Cruiser. Works with both 8.4 and E-locker differentials. The skid plates are laser cut and CNC bent using 3/16” HRPO steel with 1/4” HRPO steel in critical areas. Then welded to perfection in one very robust fixture to create the ultimate hi strength skid structure.

 Here at Defined Engineering we feel U-Bolts should be used on springs , not high quality armor .So we use Billet steel collar clamps at the axle tubes and a “Saddle & top block” design where the skid mounts to the pinion snout. All this creates a skid plate that is un-moveable in even the hardest hits.

Grade 8 hardware is always standard and ties everything together to create the Ultimate Toyota Differential Skid Plate.

Differential skid plate is delivered MIG welded with grey primer coat .


Some available options are custom powder coating, drain hole cutout and reinforcement, back cutouts closed in,  ground down weld edges for appearance and skid plate can also be completely TIG welded
